Labor Day Weekend

We had an awesome 3-day weekend. We didn't have much planned for the weekend, which meant we got lots done and spent quality time outdoors.

We had our good friends over one night. We sat around the fire and made smores.

Harper is enjoying her time by the fire as well.

Josh and Lake roasting marshmallows.

Dan and Landon watching the fire.

Chablis with the boys. Little Chase even joined us.

Harper has mastered climbing up steps.

Making sure someone is following close behind.

A much needed outdoor project. Josh had to re-lay some of the back patio because of settling. Lake was right there helping every step of the way.

Lake loves to water my flowers. If you look closely you can see he tried to make the flower bloom before it was ready. Oh well, it's almost fall.

Lake loves to play on the new football field. We took him to a football game a few nights prior and learned our lesson the hard way. He didn't understand why he couldn't run on the field and hit the f-ball players with his head. So, we will only be going to the field on nights when there isn't a game.

He could spend hours running around kicking his soccer ball.

Harper enjoyed watching Lake run.

Lake is not a morning person, usually. I have learned to leave him alone the first 30 minutes he is awake because he needs his time to begin the day. Ths is what he did this morning.

But, when he is ready, he can be a nice big brother.

Harper's new past time: opening and closing doors. :)

  1. Bray thinks opening and closing doors is a good past time too. She found the door stopper on the back and figured out if she pulls it it will make a really obnoxious noise. What can I say, it keeps her entertained :)
