Wow, I can hardly believe my little girl will be 6 months old on Wednesday. I still have moments where I can hardly believe I have a son AND a daughter.
Harper had her 6 month appointment this morning with Dr. Rob. Lake loves to go see Dr. Rob as well. We had a long talk before the appointment that it was Harper's turn to see the doctor, and not Lake's turn. The last time I took him Dr. Rob had to do a full exam on Lake and eventually said he would look in Lake's ears one more time, but then needed to go see his other patients. Lake was a trooper today, and because he was so good, Dr. Rob let him listen to his own heartbeat.
Back to Harper...she weighed 16 lbs 13 oz and was 27 inches long. That puts her in the 75% for weight and 90% for height. I looked back to see how big Lake was at this age; he weighed 18 lbs 9 oz and was 28 inches long.
Harper started eating cereal last week. As you can see, she isn't a big fan.

Lake doesn't like when Harper has a messy face.

Harper has one tooth and a second on the way. She has figured out that her tongue is the best teething ring. :)

Lake (and myself) have been trying to talk either Daddy or Nana & Papa into getting a kitty. This weekend our neigbors had a garage sale and were trying to find good homes for their kittens. I, of course, told Lake there was kitties across the street that he could play with. Daddy took him over, and even let one come home for a little while. Lake was so excited to have the kitty play at his house. He named her Patches, and no, she didn't come to live at our house. But, we'll keep trying.
Who could say no to this?
