Summer nights...

I still consider myself as country girl at heart and it's summer nights like these that I miss it the most. I think my brother and sister would agree that being raised on the farm/in the country it's simply in your blood. There are certain times of the year I long for the peacefulness of the country. Even though my kids may not grow up the same place I did, I want them to appreciate God's creation and the serenity of "the farm."

Lake could spend hours by the pond looking for frogs, bugs, tadpoles, etc.
Trying for a picture, but Harper was not having it.
The best we could do. Harper was talking to the dogs.

Walking down my parents' driveway.
It's mulberry season! Lake ate a sour one. :)

Harper signing "more." She now is saying the word and signing at the same time, definate progress in her speech development.
Those blue eyes say so much.

Riding the ranger at sunset. Harper likes to drive, but doesn't want any assistance from Nana even if we are headed towards the ditch.
