Tulip Time 2010

We made it through another Tulip Time despite the cold temps. I hate to admit but I had to pull out the winter coats. Thursday was the warmest day so I spent the afternoon walking around with the kids, and we went up to the parade that night. We met some friends and their kids and enjoyed the parade.

Brody, Lake, Harper and Landon. Chase was there as well, but too comfy on his Mommy's lap to get in the picture. The kids did great...sat and watched the entire parade.

He is still in awe of the big fire truck.
Lake was in the Saturday afternoon parade. He rode in the Pella Motors wooden shoe train. He was very excited!
Yes, that is Josh on the far left. Lake sat and waited in the wooden shoe for 45 minutes before they started down the parade route. Let's just say he was Very comfortable with all the other kids by the time they started moving. We waited on the first corner and when we saw Lake he was turning around alot...Josh had to remind him that he needed to face forward and wave at the people.
There ya go, Buddy!
Where's Lake??
He was getting a little bored towards the end of the parade route.
Saturday night we went up just the four of us. Lake got a hold of the camera and took some pictures.

Waiting and watching for more to come.

  1. You made the BEST out of a rotten weekend for Tulip Time. I was so cold with just seeing 1 parade. I guess it helps keep you warm to be hauling kids, strollers and blankets. What a ride that wooden shoe Lake!
