We have been keeping busy finishing up the Christmas shopping and today we started making Christmas candy. We are also having fun playing in the snow we got last week. I think I like to sled more than Lake does. :) Harper has mastered walking, I still can hardly believe it. She refuses to pull herself up with assistance from a near-by couch/table/toy, but has figured out how to stand up in the middle of the room and off she goes. She spends her days walking around the circle in our house, she finds this very entertaining especially when Lake chases her. She hasn't figured out how to change her speed, but she's working on it. Lake is such a big help around the house. He enjoys folding laundy, putting dirty clothes in the washer, putting away clean clothes, clearing the table after meal time, unstacking the dishwasher, dusting, cleaning toilets, and vaccuming. I tell him he is going to make someone very happy someday.

Lake is such a big help around the house, and insists on helping me clean, cook/bake and do laundry. The other day I told him he is going to make some lucky woman very happy, all I got was a blank stare. :)
Harper had a really bad diaper rash last week, so I had to give her a baking soda bath. My Mom and I were busy in the kitchen when I discovered it, so into the kitchen sink she went. The only way I could keep her sitting down was to give her snacks, and she shared them with Nana.

We came home from church on Sunday, and half way un-dressed Harper. Josh thought she looked cute in her attire (she did too).

If only he smiled like this for pictures. I had Lake and Harper's pictures taken over the weekend, and Lake was a pistol once again. Hopefully we got a few good ones that I can share when I get the proofs.

Our first snowman of the season.

  1. Nana is SO impressed with the snowman. Doesn't surprise me that mommy and daddy like sledding maybe more than Lake, you just wait. It's hard work with all that gear on. Hopefully soon we can get to the farm on a nice day and pull him behind the 4-wheeler.
