Trip to KC

The four of us took a much needed trip to see Scott, Christina and the boys this past weekend. We had a great time all together, and are already looking foward to our next trip, hopefully this summer yet. It has become a daily conversation for Lake to ask to go to Cadynce's or Christina's house. When I told Lake last week Wednesday we were going to go to Cadynce's house, he followed me around for the next day-and-a-half saying, "Okay Mom, I'm ready to go."

Finally together again. :)

Playing outside the first night there.

Scott and Josh catching up.

Taking turns riding down the driveway and pushing one another back up.

Lake loves his Aunt Christina!

Beckym was so sweet to Harper all weekend. Here he is giving her a kiss.

Playing baseball.

Even Harper got to play.

Cadynce doesn't trust Lake's pitching abilities.

Christina being silly.

Lake loves to watch Payton play Wii.

Swimming in the neighborhood pool.

Scott, Beckym and Payton.

snack time

Josh, Scott and Payton enjoying the water.

Harper and Daddy enjoying the sun.

Splashing Daddy.

It wasn't very warm that day; Lake is trying to warm up.

Big buddies, too bad they don't live closer to one another.

This is a silly picture of me, I know, but if you look closely you will see one of my fingers is all bandaged up. I must have thought the weekend wasn't eventful enough, because Saturday night I ended up in the nearby ER. Christina and I were making dinner while Scott was smoking meat. All the kids were up from naps, and everyone was hungry. I was in a hurry while chopping potatoes, and cut my finger. Christina and I left the guys to finish making supper and feed the kids while we drove to the ER. Fortunately we were gone in under an hour, and I only had to get two stitches.

Playing on the neighbors slip-n-slide. You will see in the pictures below Lake is in his boxers. Christina and I were walking to the neighbors with Harper and Beckym and Cadynce and Lake ran up ahead. When we arrived there was Lake standing in line for the slip-n-slide waiting his turn.....naked. So, we thought his boxers were better then nothing at all.

Harper Dael meeting Harper Grace. Harper lives in Scott and Christina's backyard, and her parents are good friends of Scott and Christina. She is a couple week older then Harper Dael. We couldn't believe how much taller Harper Dael was.

Bathtime. This has become a tradition when we go to KC. We started it when Lake was only 6 weeks old. This time Beckym got to join in on the fun.

Harper prancing around the house.

Lake kissing Beckym's ouwies on his knees.

Jumping on the trampoline.

Too much fun!

Even Harper liked to jump.

  1. It looks like everyone had a GREAT time!
You will understand someday how good that makes parents feell
The test I got from Christina saying you guys were in the ER, I wondered who beat up who but it didn't seem to be that kind of a weekend at all. I will give you some lessons on cutting potatoes, you missed that one I think, you always struggle!
